Scheduling Appointments:
At Reddy Pediatrics, we strive to respect your time. When you call to schedule an appointment, have your child’s name, date of birth, and insurance information available. Let our staff know what your child needs to be seen for. Well child visits, Behavior and ADHD visits require more time. The better information you provide, the better we can serve you. If your child is sick, but you also wish to have a more chronic problem or additional problems addressed, let our staff know. If we do not have sufficient time to appropriately cover everything at the same visit, we will schedule another appointment at a later time. This triage process will help us run on time while thoroughly addressing your concerns and your child’s needs. You may also set up appointments through your secure Patient Portal.

For well visits, we prefer seeing no more than 2 children from the same family at a time. An hour of time is allotted.

While walk-ins are welcome in Urgent Care, a walk-in at Reddy Pediatrics will be triaged to the next available appointment. In order to be seen in a timely fashion, please call ahead for an appointment.

Coming to Reddy Pediatrics:
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time and bring your updated insurance information, and any pertinent medical or vaccination records with you. Let us know if there have been any changes to your contact information. We hope you will find the waiting environment comfortable, but please consider bringing something to entertain your child as well as appropriate snacks, drinks, diapers, wipes etc. Nursing is welcome. Children feel better when they are satisfied and entertained. Let your child know what to expect at their visit. Maybe read a book about visiting the doctor or play with toy medical equipment for a younger child. Let your child or adolescent know that it is normal for a provider to examine his or her genitalia when you are present. Let them know immunizations are important for them to stay healthy, help them go to school and are over quickly. Being honest and keeping it simple and reassuring will help alleviate stress.

Additional Resources:

Forms and Records:
Georgia Department of Public Health school forms will be completed and given to you during well child visits. Requested or duplicate forms outside of an appropriate office visit will have a fee of $5.

Refills:
At this time, scheduled drugs like stimulants and certain pain medications require a handwritten signature from the provider. We are unable to fax or electronically prescribe these medications. At the time you receive your original prescription, your provider will inform you when the next appointment is recommended and how to obtain any necessary refills in the interim. Please give us 48hr notice for any approved phone or Portal refill requests for non-scheduled medications.

Hospital:
Reddy Pediatrics provides outpatient services only. If your child requires hospitalization, we have arranged for Athens Regional Pediatric Hospitalists to serve you. You have the option to go to another hospital according to your location, severity of the problem or preference.

Team Approach:
You have a vital role in your child’s healthcare. We believe in a team or collaborative approach to providing medical care. You can take an active role by using the Patient Portal, reading reliable information, keeping a record of all medications and dosing instructions, having questions ready at your office visit and bringing your child for recommended follow-ups and well child visits. Our providers will listen and communicate the best recommendations for your child’s individual needs. We also welcome honest feedback.

Vaccination:
Reddy Pediatrics recommends routine vaccination consistent with the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Please see our Vaccination Policy for further information.
