As the saying goes, "An ounce of prevention saves a pound of cure." Our preventive medicine services are designed to keep you healthy and prevent or detect disease early. Depending upon age, there are several preventive services that are recommended by the National Preventive Medicine Task Force as well as by the leading authorities in medicine. The following table of Preventive Medicine recommendations has been reviewed and thought to be necessary by our physicians at Reddy Medical Group to help you stay healthy. Ages 18 - 39
EVERY FIVE YEARS:
General Medical Exam: This includes the following:
>> Height, Weight and Blood Pressure
>> Complete Physical Exam
>> Complete Blood Profile
EVERY THREE YEARS:
PAP Smear and Breast Exam for women to screen for Breast and Cervical Cancer after three normal annual exams unless
High Risk *
VACCINES:
MMR - All adults born after 1956 who lack immunity
Td ( Tetanus) - Booster every 10 years
Influenza - Yearly if High Risk *
Pneumococcal - One Time Dose if High Risk ** (Maybe repeated if necessary)
Varicella - High Risk ** Adults with no history of Chicken Pox
Hepatitis B - High Exposure Risk *** Adults
*High Risk Women
  Early onset of sexual activity (under16 years of age)
  Multiple sexual partners (five or more in a lifetime)
  History of sexually transmitted disease (including HIV infection)
  Fewer than three negative pap smears within the previous seven years
**High Risk Adults are people with Diabetes, Heart Disease, Emphysema, Kidney Failure, and other diseases which suppress the immunity.

***High Exposure Risk Adults are people in the Health Care Fields, and adults with higher chance of exposure to Hepatitis B
   
Ages 40 - 49
EVERY TWO YEARS:
General Medical Exam: This includes the following:

>> Eye Exam for Glaucoma and other diseases of the eye
>> Bone Mass Density Testing for Osteoporosis if Postmenopausal

Bone Mass Density Testing for Osteoporosis
EVERY THREE YEARS:
